Formulation development, in vitro and in vivo assessment of Diclofenac diethylamine nanosponge loaded topical formulation

The present work was performed with the objective of novel topical formulation development poorly water-soluble drug Diclofenac diethylamine by loading drug-containing nanosponge into formulation. nanosponges are polymeric nanoparticles that entrap drug. drug-loaded has different absorption characteristics in comparison to pure delivery system. Methods: first loaded ethylcellulose using emulsion solvent diffusion method. Then nanosponge-loaded gel formulations were developed Carbopol 940 as a gel-forming polymer. Result: diethylamine-loaded evaluated for various evaluation parameters such particle size distribution, surface morphology, entrapment efficiency, polydispersity index, etc. pH, vitro release, viscosity, vivo performance and compared marketed average prepared found range 102.8 nm 475.5 nm. Scanning electron microscopy photographs reveal spongy porous nature particles along spherical shape. index (PI) 0.756 0.954.
